Our blackberry wood hay feeders are a great way to provide enrichment for your pet as they munch because they are small and lightweight so larger pets like rabbits and large guinea pigs can toss them around as they tug on the hay. They love blackberry wood too, so it is a healthy and nutritious way to help them keep their teeth nice and trim as they gnaw on the wooden frame which is, of course, better than them trimming their teeth on your skirting boards!
These feeders are made with entirely natural products - there is no metal, no plastic glue and no artificial materials at all in them, such as those you find in mass-produced wooden feeders. Our blackberry wood hay feeders are hand-made using our own organically-grown blackberry wood which is strung with jute twine to keep it in shape. As we allow the plants to grow naturally, there are variations in colour and some natural curves in the wood. These small curves might create a slight twist in the frame of the feeder when it is empty, but please do not worry about this as any twist will soon disappear when you refill it with hay! And besides, your pet won't be at all worried about the shape, they will be far too interested in nibbling at the hay and the wood!!
Your blackberry wood hay feeder will be supplied filled to the max with fresh premium crunchy Timothy hay. The frame measures approximately 18cm long and the width is approximately 7-8cm wide, although the hay does poke out quite a lot more as we stuff them very full!
