Hay is an absolute essential in the diet of most of our small herbivores such as rabbits, guinea pigs, degus, gerbils, hamsters and mice, so why not give them a bundle of fun to play with while they munch! For all our meadow hay toys, we always use the very best meadow hay which is sourced in the UK.
Our mini hay doughnuts are designed with the smallest of our fluffies in mind, for whom long lengths of sisal bindings could cause entanglement issues. So these are made by creating a handmade thick rope of meadow hay which is turned into a ring shape and bound only at the top with a short length of organic sisal, which also forms the hook should you want to hang it up. If not being hung up, do cut off the hook so that it is completely safe for your little ones to munch and play with.
These mini hay doughnuts have an approximate outer diameter of 10cm (4 inches) and an internal diameter of approximately 5.5cm, which is safe for our smallest furries. You can buy them singly, in packs of three or in packs of 10.
As they are made entirely from grassy meadow hay they are lightweight in comparison to rings made from cheaper woodier hay. Plus being mostly dried leafy green grass (with less of the thicker harder woody stems such as that you get from cheap hay varieties) these are far more nutritious!
Storage instructions
If you don't plan to use these immediately, please store in a dark cool & dry place. This is because natural materials can be prone to mildew if they get damp.
