For doggie parents who want eco-friendly and ethical dog leads, our jute leads are ideal as they are soft, strong and made from sustainable plant-based rope and twine which is made in the UK.

They come in one size and so are suitable for dogs of all sizes, having a length of 1.5m (nearly 5 foot) and a width of 2.5cm. They feature a large strong steel snap hook for attaching it to collars and harnesses.

All our jute leads are individually handmade by us with great care and attention to detail. We construct them by first making a 4-strand plait with jute rope which we then interweave with the coloured jute twine. All of the stitching which secures the handle, the trigger snap and the d-hook is strong 3-ply jute twine, as is the coloured jute used for the decorations. This means we can be certain that all of the materials used are safe for your dog, and also super strong!

Whilst jute fibre is fully biodegradable, it is also very strong, breathable, hypo-allergenic, anti-microbial and UV-resistant.

We make our leads to order, using the colour that you have chosen. As each lead takes us 3 hours to make, please allow 2 working days after you've placed your order before we can dispatch.

Washing Instructions:

Machine washable on a short wash on a low temperature. To avoid fibre loss and to protect other items from the steel hook, it is best placed inside a linen/cotton bag (such as a pillowcase).

Note on health & safety

Every single pet is unique, each with their own personality and character traits. So if your pet has a tendency to chew vigorously on their leads, please ensure that you regularly check them for any signs of damage. If any do show signs of damage they will no longer be secure and so must be disposed of to avoid any risks to the health and safety of your dog.
