Hay is an absolute essential in the diet of rabbits and nearly all herbivores, so why not give them a bundle of fun to play with while they munch!
All our hay doughnuts are made with the very best meadow hay which is sourced in the UK. They are bound together with sisal which is 100% organic and is easy for herbivores to digest without causing intestinal blockages.
These hay doughnuts have an approximate outer diameter of 15cm (6 inches) and come in a box of 10.
As they are made entirely from grassy meadow hay they are lightweight in comparison to rings made from cheaper woodier hay. Plus being mostly dried leafy green grass (with less of the thicker harder woody stems such as that you get from cheap hay varieties) these are far more nutritious!
Please note: Not suitable for gerbils, hamsters or mice - Although the sisal is perfectly safe to digest, due to their small size we do not recommend these bound hay rings for gerbils, hamsters or mice, as there could be a risk of entanglement if the sisal is nibbled and then left loose and long. We do sell smaller hay rings which do not have long bindings so are perfect and safe for the smallest of our furry friends. Please see our Mini Hay Doughnuts here .
Storage instructions
If you don't plan to use these immediately, please store in a dark cool & dry place. This is because natural materials can be prone to mildew if they get damp.
