Our hessian and hemp beds are made from 100% natural and safe materials for pets, especially those who might occasionally want to nibble on their bedding!
This size small is perfect for rabbits, guinea pigs and other small pets, as well as small cats and small puppy dogs. They measure approximately 42cm long by 33cm wide and have a super warm and cosy thickness of 6-7cm.
They are stuffed with natural untreated hemp fibre which is dense and warm for wee ones to curl up on. The “buttons” are made from jute rope and feature on both sides of the bed, so that they can be turned over and over!
To keep your pets safe, these are not machine-sewed. We hand sew them using only hessian and hemp threads so that there is no chance of pets such as rabbits or guinea pigs chewing on dangerous threads. (Machine threads are too tightly spun and can cause life-threatening intestinal blockages if ingested by dogs, rabbits and small pets).
Care instructions
Not machine washable. Wipe clean with a damp cloth when necessary. Avoid using harsh detergents as these are detrimental to pet health - we recommend spraying lightly with organic apple cider vinegar as this not only removes stains and odours but can also prevent mould or pests. Brush lightly with a soft brush regularly to remove any fur.
