Wood Avens is a perennial low-lying plant which is native to Europe, including the UK. It grows well in moist shady areas, which is why you often find it growing under the tree line in the woods.
The dainty yellow flowers of Wood Avens are loved by pollinators, whilst the foliage and flowers make a tasty addition to the greens quota of the diet of rabbits, guinea pigs and other small pets, as well as in moderation for tortoises.
These packets contain 50 seeds.
For best results, sow your seeds in an area which is shaded by other plants, as it prefers to be in the damp underbrush such as is found under bushes and trees. You can also start your seedlings in a propagator or greenhouse before planting them out in the Spring.
